My son was a huge fan of the original Sprinkle game actually I think obsessed might be a better term to go with. But I must admit that it was an incredibly well made game and I did actually enjoy it myself. It was one of those games that was perfect for the whole family. And it was a pretty darn big hit that shifted a vast amount of copies. Well the planet of Titan is in trouble again and the aliens who live there need your help!
Man the poor little aliens who live on planet Titan really cannot seem to catch a break. They live on this planet that looks somewhat like an island paradise and then what do you know there planet is bombarded by flaming garbage that is making a real mess. And the planet only has one fire truck so it’s up to you to put out all of these fires. It’s a very cute and nice story that is perfect for kids.
And the game just looks amazing. I am not going to say that it looks miles better than the original. But that was already a pretty much perfect looking game. Overall though I do not see how any person could have any complaints with the way that this game looks.
Sprinkle Islands once again sees you controlling an alien fire truck and while they have not made any changes to the way the game looks. I think that they have really tinkered with the controls of the game making it easier to play. It is far easier now to move the ladder on your alien fire truck up and down. It may not sound like a big deal, but it does make for a more fun game playing experience.
The idea of the game is that you need to use your fire truck to put out the fires. Now this sounds easy, but the majority of the time you need to figure out how to get your water to the fire. Sometimes it is as simple as just shooting straight at it. Other times you will need to use your water to move a object out of the way first or you may need to do some kind of bank shot off something. There is a vast variety to the ways that you will be putting out the fires. Also to make things tougher you only have a limited amount of water. So expect some of the later levels to require multiple attempts to beat them.
One really awesome thing that this game has is boss battles. Yes that is right this game has boss battles and they are just amazing. They are so well animated and they really are quite tricky, but tricky in a very good way. For example my son loves this game and while it did take him a few attempts he was eventually able to figure it out because the game is pretty fair when it comes to its challenge.
This is a great game and one that if you download I am sure the whole family can have some fun with. It has that perfect blend of being fun and challenging, but never really frustrating. It is only a couple of bucks and there are zero in app purchases. This is a game that would be a bargain at double the price.
