Guns n Glory could be accused of trying to cash in on the hype of the recent Hobbit movie, but that is a little harsh I think. But one thing that is for sure is that this is a game that has over 10 million people all around he world playing it. So it must have something going for it.

This is a great looking game. It really does look like a great deal of time, effort and part of the budget was used to make this game look as high quality as possible. The game from a visual perspective just has this charm to it that you really have to see to appreciate.

The story of Guns n Glory Heroes sure will not win any awards for originality, but it does move things along well enough. Basically there is this very evil and bad fellow who just so happens to have a whole army of orcs at his disposal. Well of course if you have a orc army the only natural thing to do is try and take over the land. Well your three heroes that you have at your disposal are not going to let this happen and it is down to you to put this jerk back in his place and rid the land of his nasty and probably smelly orcs.

At its heart I would describe this as an action strategy game. The three people that you have control of are an Elf, a a Dwarf and a Knight. Each of these guys has there own abilities that make them each very important in there own right. Your Elf can use magic which actually I found to be the most useful attack in the game. Your Dwarf can use barrel of alcohol (probably some kind of moonshine I a guessing) to blow stuff up, and lastly your courageous Knight can do some damage with his sword and he is the strongest when it comes to defence. So as you can see these are quite the diverse bunch of characters.

The basic idea of the game is that you take part in battles and you need to manoeuvre your warriors to fend off bad guys and protect things like a castle for example. Now I will admit I am not the biggest strategy gamer out there, but there is more than enough action here as well that really got me into the game. This is a very tough game and when a battle has a bunch of enemies on the screen it can get quite manic trying to keep all three of your warriors doing what you want them to do. But I found it manic in a good way. You can get potions to help heal you, but you are going to have to spend some real money if you want potions that can save your life.

In all I had a great time playing this game. It looks great and it is fun to play. And I am sure that if you are more into strategy games than I am you will be able to come up with some great strategies. But for people like me you can still hack and slash your way to many victories.
