If you don’t all ready have songs saved in iTunes, such as if you have a new computer, you can transfer your songs from your iPod Touch to your Computer. You need to put your iPod Touch into Disk Mode first in order to do this. To put your iPod in Disk Mode, restart it first by pressing the Menu and Sleep Button at the same time until you see the Apple Logo, then let go and hold down the Fast Forward and Rewind buttons at the same time. When you hold both these buttons down while the iPod Touch is starting up, it will put the iPod into Disk Mode.
When your iPod is in Disk Mode, connect it to your computer. From that point you will be able to view hidden folders. Look for a folder named ipod_control. When you find that, copy the entire folder and import it into the iTunes library on your computer. To get your iPod Touch out of Disk Mode just restart it again by holding down the Menu and Sleep Button at the same time until you see the Apple Logo.
