Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Rooftop Run is a game created by Nickelodeon. It costs $1.99 and is available on the iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.

Objective:

The objective of this game is to travel as far as you can before getting caught by the UFO that’s chasing the main character. If you collect enough energy orbs to fill your progress bar you’ll go into a quick time mode where you can fight against enemies in slow motion by tapping the screen. However if you don’t collect enough energy orbs and your progress bar becomes empty, the game will end.

The controls are pretty simple. You just have to tap or double tap to jump across buildings and to attack enemies. TMNT Rooftop Run basically packs ninja moves and shell shocking battles into a fast paced side scrolling game. If you’re not jumping across a dangerous building gap in this game, you’re fighting enemies.

You can also upgrade weapons, gadgets, and boosts using the coins you’ve earned. Not to mention that you can also play as Dogpound, Leo, Donnie, Raphael and Mikey.

The Good:

TMNT is a really great classic that has never gone out of fashion. The graphics and gameplay of Rooftop Run stays true to classic TMNT games.

The Bad:

Although you can purchase in-app boosts, gadgets, gear, and weapons in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles; there isn’t much info regarding what each thing does.  Without buying items first you won’t know how they will benefit you.

Conclusion:

For $1.99 this game is a bit overvalued. If you’re a diehard TMNT fan then maybe it will be worth it. However if you’re not into side scrolling running games, or you’d like to spend your money on more mainstream games, then it might be a good idea to pass on TMNT Rooftop Run.
