I have been told that Legends Of Chaos is one of the greatest games on the iPad and that millions and millions of people all around the world are going crazy for this game. Then how the heck have I never heard of it until now? This is not a knock on the game at all, but this one really did sneak past me. And it ticks many of the boxes for what I would look for in a good video game. So while I am late to the party it was with some great excitant that I downloaded this flashing looking HD version of Legends Of Chaos. Before you read on please let me state right now that this game is online ONLY!!! There is no offline play offered at this time.

A ton of work was put into making this game look very pretty. The character designs are incredible and they range from a typical warrior looking dude to characters like a panda and a skeleton guy. There is a great variety to the characters and I think that all 15 really do look very unique and because of how unique they look you do actually want to try each one out.

The level design is pretty sweet, but I would not say that it is the greatest looking game in the world like many other people seem to. Still though it looks pretty darngood and I really do like the viewpoint. It is kind of at an angle and similar to a game like the old Return Of The Jedi Arcade game. As well as looking great there are some really great animations here as well. I have played more than a few games on my iPad that look great when standing still, but go to hell when things start moving.

The game is an action RPG where you pick your character from one of three classes. You have an archer, mage and warrior. I really wish that I could use the mage, but I suck big time so for me I find it easiest to play as a warrior character and just hack and slash my way to victory. The game has pretty much everything that you would want from an action RPG style game. There are a ton of weapons to use and a multitude of quests to keep you busy and the story in the game is actually pretty interesting as well. There are a great number of areas for you to check out as well. And the game has some pretty cool boss fights also. Not enough games have boss fights in them these days in my opinion.

I had an absolute blast with this game and at under a buck it’s a great deal. There are in app purchases, but I have not spent a penny and still been able to get pretty far. But the game like I mention is online only which is a bit of a shame. Hopefully they will add some kind of off line play in the future. So yeah if you like action RPG games then this is one that I cannot recommend highly enough.
