The iPhone has a number of keyboard shortcuts that help if you do a lot of messaging. You can access these options by tapping on Settings, General and then Keyboard. From that point you can choose short cuts for your keyboard such as turning on Auto-Capitalization for when you start new sentences. You can also turn on Caps Lock by double tapping the shift button on the keyboard so it turns blue.

To automatically insert periods at the end of sentences with your iPhone keyboard, just double tap the space bar. Your next sentence will then also automatically capitalize the first letter in the first word. You can also skip adding apostrophes in words like don’t, can’t and doesn’t by just typing the word and letting your iPhone automatically add the apostrophe. Or, press and hold the comma key and an apostrophe will appear.

When you are browsing the web, there is no need to add .com, .net, .org or other domain extensions, just type the dot and a drop down list will show up so you can quickly pick out which extension you need to get to the website you are looking for.

When you learn the keyboard shortcuts that you can use for iPhone you will notice your messaging speed is much faster and easier.
