The Hungry Shark is back and he is hungrier than ever before. If only they had a decent pizza joint at the bottom of the ocean maybe then his blood lust could be tamed. Ah who am I kidding I love eating stuff with this shark. I think its fair to say that pretty much anyone who has seen Jaws wanted to play as a shark. Ok there was that Jaws game, but the less said about that the better. Instead lets get back to talking about Hungry Shark Evolution.

The presentation of this game is really weird. I do not mean this in a bad way at all. You see the graphics in the game are tremendous I love the whole under water world and it makes you really want to sit down and spend some real time exploring this game. The actual Hungry Shark looks great, but so do all the other see creatures that you will come across as well. The whole ocean just looks gorgeous. Over all this game is one fine looking game and you really would be nitpicking if you were to start criticising the game for its looks. What I find weird is the music it is just so soothing. Even when you are munching on a pelican the game has this soothing music. Hey I am not hating on it at all, but it is very interesting.

This is a game that is about survival and what is the best way for a shark to survive? By eating things of course. The basic goal of the game is that you will swim around looking for various sea creatures to eat. And perhaps even more fun is when some dare devil scuba diver thinks they are a big man and swims into your path. As well as this you will need to avoid under water mines and other sea creatures including larger sharks that want to eat you.

All this leads to your ultimate goal and that is evolution. Hence the name Hungry Shark Evolution. You see as you are doing all the things you need to do you will be trying to upgrade or evolve your shark as the game calls it. There are a few species for you to try and get so it can get quite addictive. When you start the game you may think your default shark is powerful, but you have not seen anything until you play as one of the huge monster sharks that can be evolved into.

Controlling your shark is really simple, but you do have a great deal of control. You control your shark by tilting your iOS device. Now I am not the best or biggest fan when it comes to using tilt controls, but they really do work very well here. A simple tap will give your shark a speed boost, but this will deplete your stamina meter which you will need to keep a eye on. You can refill it by eating things. If it runs all the way down then it is game over man.

There is a huge under water world for you to explore and many different missions for you to try and beat in order to evolve into the ultimate under water predator. This is a game that does have a vast amount of in app purchases, but it is never to aggressive with them. It is totally possible to put the time in and grind your way to being the ultimate under water killing machine. But the in app store is there if you cannot wait to play as some of the more powerful sharks.

At the end of the day Hungry Shark Evolution is a really fun game. It is one of those games that when you pick it up to play can easily have you hooked for a good hour long gaming session. It looks great and it plays great so there really is no excuse to give this a try. And I will also say this that it has some of the most responsive tilt controls I have used for quite a while. If you are on the lookout for a new game then certainly give Hungry Shark Evolution a try.
