Wait for the water to travel downwards, until the last of the water is above the red gate opener, at which point you need to remove the sand to allow the last bit of water to fall into the red gate opener. Likewise, wait until the last of the water is directly above the green gate opener, then remove the sand to allow the water to open the green gate. The water will now fall into the shower pipe opening.
