If you are considering buying an iPhone 5S or 5C, you will want to take a look at the differences between them to see which one will have the type of options you will be the happiest with. Here are the major differences between the two:

The iPhone 5S has an Apple A7 processor, with a 64 bit chip. The iPhone 5C has a 1Ghz Apple A6 processor with a 32 bit chip. As you can imagine, the 5S will process much faster than the 5C; in fact, it will process twice the amount of data in the same time it takes the 5C to process.

A motion co-processor chip is included with the iPhone 5S, but not in the 5C. This co-processor interacts with the accelerometer, compass, and gyroscope sensors in the iPhone that helps interact with apps such as fitness and exercise apps because the co-processor will be able to determine if you are sitting, standing and moving.

Along with faster processing and the motion co-processor chip, the iPhone 5S also has a Touch ID Fingerprint scanner built into the Home button for enhanced security features. This feature allows you to set up to five different fingerprints to use in order to access your iPhone, similar to a passcode. The iPhone 5C doesn’t have this option.

While both the iPhone 5S and 5C have the same 8 megapixel cameras, the 5S has a dual flash and option to record slow motion video at 120 frames per second. It also has a burst mode that will allow you to take up to ten pictures per second. While the 5C camera still offers the ability to take excellent photos, it doesn’t include these more advanced features.

The iPhone 5S and 5C are available in different colors, with the 5C offering the most colorful options. For the 5S you can choose from slate, gray or gold. For the iPhone 5S, you can choose white, pink, blue, yellow or green.

The iPhone 5S comes in a 16GB, 32 GB, or 65GB model. The iPhone 5c is only available with 16GB or storage or 32GB.

Finally, while the iPhone 5S has a variety of advanced features that are not available on the 5C, you will pay about $100 more for whatever model you choose over the iPhone 5C. If features are more important than price, then choosing the iPhone 5S will be in your best interest. The iPhone 5C is still a great phone though and many who own it believe it has more than enough features to keep them happy.
