If you need to access your iPad backups, you can find them in folders on your computer’s operating system if you use iTunes:

For Mac – backups are stored in ~/Library/Application Support/MobileSync/Backup/.

For Windows – XP backups are stored in \Documents and Settings\USERNAME\Application Data\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\ ***Use your own username to replace USERNAME.

For Windows Vista and Windows 7 – backups are stored in \Users\(username)\AppData\Roaming\Apple Computer\MobileSync\Backup\.

If you backup using iCloud you can access your backups through your iPad by going to Settings>iCloud>Backup & Storage.
