You can make your songs on iTunes fade in and out without the annoying dead space in between them by using the Crossfading feature in iTunes. You can access this feature by choosing the Edit menu tab in iTunes and then click on Preferences. In the preferences menu, you will see the Playback tab that will give you the option for crossfading and all you have to do is put a check mark next to the words “Crossfade Songs”. From that point you can use the sliderbar to choose the number of seconds that crossfading should occur between songs and then click OK.

When you have set the crossfading feature in iTunes, you will notice that your playlist sounds more professional and smooth instead of having a lot of air space in between songs.
