Chillingo’s Wake the Cat is a great 3D based puzzle game where your aim is to roll a ball of yarn in order to wake a cat. It’s a fun puzzle based game where you roll a ball of yarn through obstacles in order to wake a cat from its sleep. Each level introduces things like moving trains or obstacles that you need to interact with in order to get through the puzzle. Some levels may be a straight shot while others require you to ricochet the ball of yarn off items.

Controls are kept to a bare minimum, swipe to roll the ball against or through obstacles. Tap and drag in order to move obstacles to your liking in order to help accomplish your goal. The theme may seem a bit childish but the gameplay outweighs it. No one quite touches the 3D based graphics that chillingo offers at such a low price point. On the user interface side wake the cat keeps it simple with a hint button in the bottom right and a replay or pause button in the top right.

Not only does Chillingo do a great job of bringing a really great 3D graphic based game into the store but packing multiple levels to match. While the whole cat thing may not be for everyone the basic puzzle premise really is entertaining and a great time killer. At one dollar, Chillingo really offered a ton in one puzzle app to make it well worth purchasing. From moveable obstacles, to tons of levels, Wake the Cat is a fun game all around.
