Timehop ReviewTimehop is a free time capsule app for the iPod and iPhone.

US iTunes, App Store, iBookstore, and Mac App Store

Here is a description of the app by the developer:

“A time capsule of you.

See your photos and updates from **this exact day** in history. Timehop helps you celebrate the best moments of the past with your friends!

Timehop brings together your old photos and updates from Facebook, Twitter, Foursquare, Instagram, flickr and your camera roll. It makes all these memories into easily sharable items, helping you tell the stories of the past.

You’ll quickly find yourself falling in love with Timehop. Give it a try today!”

The concept for this app is awesome. The execution is lacking though. When I first installed this app I was unable to look at anything. I had to wait for timehop to process my facebook posts. It would have been nice if timehop told me how it did this and about how long it would take for me to be able to use this app. With the Facebook side I am only about to look at my profile information, not my friends unless I invite them and they accept.

A few users have complained that some days the app works and others it doesn’t work at all. I haven’t run into this issue yet. It would be nice if I could pick a date and have the app tell me about all of my posts from that day. A complaint another user has pointed out was that they were badgered to login with their facebook ID even though they only had instagram loaded.

This is another app that would benefit from having an iPad version. The iPod version feels a little cramp. I also feel like there should be more documentation on how to use this app. This is their eighth revision and they seem to be doing a lot of bug fixes, which is great. Hopefully they will add more functionality. This app has so much potential. I would wait a little before downloading this app.
