I am sure that many of you are familiar with NimbleBit’s very fun game Scoops. Well for those of you who are not the idea was that you needed to make a huge ice cream with scoops of ice cream that would keep falling from the sky. Well Sky Burger is a follow on from that, but this time instead of rotting our teeth with ice cream we get to expand our waistline with some tasty burgers.

It is really hard to be critical of the presentation when it comes to a game like Sky Burger. You see your eyes always have to be on the prize so really there is no need to have very over the top elaborate backgrounds. Still with that being said this is a game that looks decent enough. Just do not expect to be blown away with how the game looks.

This is a very addictive game. It takes what we had in the game Scoops and makes it better. The idea is that you work in a burger joint and you need to make peoples burgers. Now the weird thing is all the ingredients will fall from the sky.

You start off with the button of a burger bun and once you have your order you will need to catch a certain amount of ingredients to make the burger sometime your burger can be the better part of a hundred ingredients high. What you also need to watch for is the wrong ingredients. You see you will be paid on how close your burger is to the ingredients. Not to mention you will get a much better tip from the customer if your burger is exactly as they asked for it. You will get more money for more complex burgers that require a vast amount of ingredients.

It is a really fun game to play and I love the way that it has two different control schemes. First up we have tilt controls where you will move your iOS device from side to side to tilt the burger to catch the falling ingredients. Also there is touch controls where you will need to drag the burger from side to side. It is all personal preference, but for me I found the tilt controls much better. Not only did give me more control, but it adds a sense of panic and excitement to the game that I did not get with the touch controls.

The game also has some really cool stat tracking. There is a career part of the game where it will show you just how much money you have made. This may not sound like a feature that makes a game a must download, but I liked the fact that they included it.

I highly recommend this game. It is one of those games that is growing in popularity so I am sure there will be some cool updates in the future. At the end of the day this is a free game and it will give you hours of fun. It is one of those games that is great for a 10 minute gaming session or for a half hour during your lunch break.
