NOAA Hi-Def Radar helps solve this problem quickly. This ios app allows me to look at the storm systems coming into my area and see if it will be passing through.
This app is fast and responsive. According to the developer within two seconds of loading the radar maps are available. This application comes with a lot of layers which are used for giving you data such as NOAA warnings, Lighting strikes, hurricanes, storm tracking, droughts, and wildfires to name a few. You can also change the loops, speed and the opacity of the maps. The notification and inbox feature allows you to keep up with any changes that are made to the app. If you like looking through weather photos you can also browse them through this app as well.
This app is great for the weather enthusiast who like to track storms. You are also able to check on the status of the radar stations in your area. If a station is down you can find out if it is down for repairs or a failure.
As someone who has used a lot of weather apps I will continue to use this one whenever I need to know what to expect storm wise. At $0.99 it’s a steal.
