Magic Hair Color HD Review
US iTunes, App Store, iBookstore, and Mac App Store

If you ever wanted to figure out what you would look like with different hair colors I suggest you look into Magic Hair Color HD for the iPad.  This app will allow you to add highlights to your hair and change your eye color.  This app can be entertaining when playing with your photos or your friend’s photos.  If you ever wanted to know what you would look like with anime hair you can find out.  When using the app you have the option to take a photo, or use a photo from your library.

The interface is very easy to use.  The bottom set of tools allows you to color, or erase the coloring.  The one thing I had to learn was that when adding multiple colors to a photo you need to click the “add more” color button.  If you don’t, the color will change to the next color you chose.  If you don’t like the colors available you can create your own and add them to your palette.   I would have like to see more instructions on how to use this app instead of just throwing the interface at me and letting me fumble around.   If you have darker hair you can select an option, which will make the coloring darker.  This app works a lot better if your blonde or have a light hair color.  When I tried color my girlfriend’s hair the coloring looked like I just colored in her hair with a color pencil.  I took a photo from Flickr of a blonde woman and the photo came out really well.

After you are done with your masterpiece you can save it to your photo library and if you’re really proud you can share it to your social media.  I think this app is well worth the download if you want to try out new hair colors with out all of the actual hair dying.
