In order to connect your iPad to an HDMI cable in order to hook it up to your television set, you need a dock to HDMI adaptor and, of course, an HDMI cable. When you have the required items, you just need to connect the dock adaptor to your iPad and plug the HDMI cable into the adaptor. You can then plug the other end of the HDMI cable into your television set and you should see your iPad on the TV screen.
