A fully charged iPhone battery is supposed to last for up to eight hours of talk time, about six hours of internet use, around seven hours of video playback and around twenty four hours of audio playback. However most iPhone users find that their battery lasts about half of the stated time. In order to make sure your battery charge lasts longer there are a few things you can do.

Set your screen brightness to the lowest possible setting.

Keep your screen turned off unless you are looking at it.

Turn off all apps, especially those that run in the background. Do this by double tapping the home button, choosing any app you want to turn off, wait for the red circle with a minus sign and choose that and the app will shut down.

If you aren’t using your iPhone, turn it all the way off.
