Unfortunately I don’t feel like this app delivers anything amazing. When you start the app you are given 3 options Record now, Blast videos, and Blasts. Record now is self-explanatory, one of the features it’s missing is being able to select the front facing camera. You also don’t have any options for enhancing your video. When you record your video you have hold down a record button until you are finished. I feel like this should be a tap on tap off kind of button instead. Once all of your video is shot, you can select a blast style. This changes the color and style of all the videos you selected. You can also select a tune. The app suggests that if you don’t own the rights to a song you should not use it and should try using creative commons songs. I do commend the developer for this as well as providing a link to the creative commons site. Once your blast is created it is stored on your device. The fun doesn’t stop there. If you want you can post these blasts to your Vimeo, Youtube, Tumblr, and Facebook.

The reviews for this app are very mixed. Half of the reviews are defending this app and others are saying how horrible it is. I agree with the second half of the reviews. At one point my ipod touch was unable to record video. Although this app is free it’s no excuse for poor quality. I also don’t understand why it’s so hard to make an app that runs on all devices. With the extra screen space it would be a lot easier to edit and manage your video clips. I would definitely skip downloading this app. At the time of writing this is their second revision. Hopefully in another few revision this app will be worth the download.
