Is there anyone out there who does not like a delicious dessert? Well Dessert Maker from Sunstorm interactive is here to help your virtual sweet tooth. There are many maker-style games on the iOS, but Dessert Maker is making the bold claim that it is the biggest and the best.

Desert Maker looks very nice, and I really mean that – it is hard to look at the screen and not just start salivating over all the delicious treats you see. Everything looks clear and crisp and just oh-so-tasty. The graphics of the game do a wonderful job of making you want to eat your iOS device. Of course I would never advise such a ridiculous thing as eating your iPhone, but licking the screen is ok…….. or maybe actually you should not do that either. Lets just say the game looks very good and move on!

So what exactly do I have to do in Dessert Maker? Well that is a great question with a very simple and obvious answer: you make delicious desserts and then you get to virtually eat them. You as the baker have six different tasty desserts that you can choose to make. You can make cake pops, brownies, creampuffs, marshmallow crispy squares, strawberry shortcake and ice cream.

Once you select what tasty treat you would like to make, you then get a whole bunch of options at your disposal to make the dessert. You will need to use different kitchen utensils like a mixer or a blow torch. Yes I said a blow torch.  There are all kinds of fun things that you can do, like picking your fillings or what is going to go on top of your dessert, or even in some cases the shape of your dessert. Once you have made your dessert you then get to virtually eat it. Or you can take a picture and send it to a buddy.

Now as a free game it is fine, but to me it always felt like I was being hustled to spend real money to buy stuff. I know this is the case with many apps these days, but for the kind of game this is in truth as much fun as I had with it. Never in a million years would I want to spend real money on an app like this. So yes Dessert Maker is fun and you can have a great time just with the free app, but be warned that to get a lot of the really cool stuff the game is going to want some money from you.
