Now this is my kind of game!!! Dinosaurs are just awesome I think they are something that us guys never grow out of thinking they are cool. From the title alone you have a pretty good idea of what to expect with this game. Call Of Mini is just awesome and as much as I love zombies it seems there is a new zombie game out very week. So it’s nice to see the latest Call Of Mini game ditch the un-dead. Call Of Mini: Dino Hunter however takes me back to the 90’s when I would spend hours playing Turok: Dinosaur Hunter on the Nintendo 64.

This is easily one of the best looking games that I have played on my iPad in 2013. The level of detail is just staggering. Every aspect of the game looks great. Even something as simple as the title menu has had a great deal of work put into it. The story of the game is that you play as a guy whose family was killed by dinosaurs and now you are seeking revenge. The dinosaur character models are just amazing and they have a cute look to them, but they are not over the top cartoony.
Each level require you to kill some dinosaurs. Each wave of dinosaurs gets tougher and tougher and this is where your gaming skill comes into play. It may be very tempting to just run around shooting off your crossbow all over the place. You need to make sure each shot counts as trust me when I tell you that the last thing you want is to be in a situation where you have some very big Dinosaurs on your back.

As you beat a stage you will earn some gold and get some experience points as well. And perhaps coolest of all you will get items which can then be used to make some new weapons. I eventually got to a point where my weapons were simply not good enough. So I went back to the earlier levels to grind and make some extra cash so I could be stronger and maybe even have a rifle for taking on some of the tougher dinosaurs. This may sound like a chore, but the game is just so much fun to play it really is not. Plus each level you play is just so tense the time goes by really fast.

The control is pretty sweet and very easy to pick up. You have a virtual joystick on the left of the screen and you action button is on the right. The game plays very smooth and it’s very easy to walk around to get the best angle for a shot on a dinosaur. The only pain in the butt was that the dinosaurs literally come at you from all angles and on more than one occasion I got a serious mauling from a dinosaur that came from behind me. A quick turn button to make you turn around 180 degrees would really have helped. But when everything else in the game is so good it’s easy to overlook that one small flaw.

I really enjoyed the other two Call Of Mini games that I have played and this one is so far the best in the series. Everything about it is just so high quality that I am really surprised they are asking under a buck for this game. If you want a shooter that is a ton of fun to play and one where you are not shooting at zombies or soldiers then my friends is the game for you.
