Afterlight / Afterglow Review

US iTunes, App Store, iBookstore, and Mac App Store

AfterLight (which used to be “Afterglow” and was later renamed due to legal reasons) is an app created by Simon Filip. It costs $.99 and is available on the iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch.

This app is the perfect image editing solution for iOS. Afterlight has a beautiful interface design combined with powerful tools which makes it easy to get the results you want.

AfterLight boasts 15 adjustment tools, 39 filters, 45 textures, cropping and transforming tools, 13 cropping presets, and 57 frames. It’s kind of hard to explain just how awesome this app is if you haven’t tried it for yourself. Just imagine the ultimate photo editing application that does everything you want to do and beyond.

If you’re into photo editing or want to quickly edit a photo on your phone, then AfterLight is definitely worth it.

The Good:

The UI couldn’t be any more elegant, simpler, or easy to use. Not to mention that the functionality of this application rivals even the top brands such as Photoshop Mobile.

The Bad:

While using this application I wasn’t able to find any glitches or shortcomings.

Conclusion:

For $.99, AfterLight is going to pay for itself pretty quickly. Instead of wasting your time trying free alternatives or using multiple apps to achieve the same effect, AfterLight does it all in one app. In addition to the headache that it saves you when editing apps, it brings a lot of new features to the photo editing table, which you should be a part of. After you try this app you’ll be wondering why it doesn’t come with the default Apple applications.
