360 panorama app review

360 Panorama is an app created by Occipital, Inc. It costs $.99 and is available on the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch.

Functionality:

360 Panorama is easily the best Panorama app on the App Store. It stiches separate photos in real time, so you can see your panorama as its being created. 360 Panorama is even better than the stock Camera’s Panorama mode, because it lets you stich the top and bottom of places; not just the side view.

Viewing panoramas is also a really great experience. You can navigate around by dragging the panorama, or you can use your device’s gyroscope to look around. Using the gyroscope for looking around makes the entire 360 effect even more jaw-dropping.

360 Panorama also has an exclusive website that computer users can use to view your panoramas. So any panorama you create can be shared via Facebook, Twitter and email. You can also save the panorama on your camera roll, but it’s saved as a flat image.

The Good:

360 Panorama is a really amazing way to share places or experiences with your friends. Panoramas are automatically saved to your account too, so they can be accessed via your desktop or via your mobile device.

Another great feature 360 Panorama has is its cloud enhancement abilities. While your panorama is stored in your account, it’s enhanced over time by cloud processing and photo stitching algorithms. This cloud processing is more powerful than your iPhone’s processor, and that’s what makes breadth-taking results using this app possible.

The Bad:

The app crashed on me one time while I was creating a panorama. But other than that I haven’t been able to find any shortcomings or repeated glitches in 360 Panorama.

Conclusion:

If you’re a fan of the panorama mode in the default camera app, then you’re going to love 360 Panorama and the entire extra features it has.
